Our Philosophy

Jervis Bay Preschool Philosophy

At Jervis Bay Preschool, we believe children are capable and involved learners who learn best when they have collaborative and positive relationships with their peers and educators. We believe children are unique, resourceful and active participants in their own learning and we nurture them into being lifelong learners. We provide targeted and supported daily opportunities to foster early literacy and numeracy skills and knowledge.

We value our diverse cultural identity and work in close partnerships with the community and families to develop a strong learning culture. We acknowledge families as the child’s first teacher and work in collaborative partnerships to share knowledge. We value and honour the voices of our children and our families and continually develop mutual respect and trust between home and preschool.
